Texas Technology Empowerment Resources and Advocacy, Inc., Texas TERA, is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization in Austin, Texas that enables people with disabilities or limitations to achieve and maintain an independent and active lifestyle through a central location with information, tools and training.

Technology
Texas TERA makes available the opportunity to explore a wide-ranging assortment of the latest assistive technologies and universal design set-ups through home-like exhibits.
Empowerment
Texas TERA invites the consumer to actively participate in the selection of their augmentative communication, computer access, daily living aides or home modification allowing him or her to choose a custom solution to reduce dissatisfaction and abandonment in contrast to having the solution being chosen solely by a professional.
Resources
Texas TERA will provide access to information regarding funding and sources for assistive technology solutions, computer training programs, disability support groups, accessible recreation, guides to ADA compliant housing or home modifications and adapted employment environments.
Advocacy
Texas TERA can be an ally to people with a disability or limitations by offering guidance and support to receive the maximum benefit from their assistive technology solution to help them build confidence and the ability to self-advocate with the aim of accomplishing their goals.
